Our Mission: We're Built for Battle, not Comfort
At the St. Michael Project we are unapologetically Catholic. Our Mission is to fight for Christ in a broken and troubled world. To love God is to love people. To love people is to serve them. Our mission is to make Christ known and to represent him in all that we do. All people are built for a specific God given purpose. Through our "What are you built for" Campaign we support three primary causes, The Carter189 Memorial as well as and Homeless and Hungry and Health and Special Needs Initiatives.
"And I heard the voice of the Lord say, whom shall I send, who will go for us? And I said, here am I send me." Isaiah 6:8
St. Michael Project: Faith in Action
Barn Mill Woodworks is a small, one person-woodworking business with a unique twist, we don't keep the profits. Barn Mill profits are used to fund and support the mission of The St. Michael Project, a Catholic faith driven Initiative.
We are not a non-profit or charity, however through the St. Michael Project we build a variety of woodworking items including furniture, home décor products and specialty items to support its three Impact Initiatives.
Pillars of our Catholic Mission

stewardship
God has entrusted to his people with time, talents, opportunities, and financial resources. It is the responsibility of Christians to use these gifts and resources wisely to serve the
well-being of others, glorify God and maintain the gifts he has bestowed

Evangelization
Chistian evangelism or witnessing is the act of preaching the gospel with the intention of sharing the message and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to bring Christ to every person we encounter in effort to grow the Kingdom

Service
is defined as any time served modeling the attitude of Jesus in service to God’s creation without reward or payment. The goal of the act should be to respond to their need, to build up
another and/or make the world a more loving holier place.
St. Michael Project
A Catholic Initiative
There’s just something inside us that drives us to intervene when we see an another human being, child or family struggling. We all feel a pull inside us to do something in these moments. As Catholics, we're called to get in the trenches with those who are suffering, help carry the weight and strengthen them in their fight.
God does not call us to a playground, but a battlefield. To come to the aid of those most in need in times of hardship and despair. To represent him in these moments and to be an instrument of his love and grace. Through small acts of holiness we can change lives, help, bring joy to others and help them in their time of need.
Our Catholic Identity: We're built for God's plan and purpose.
Our identity as Catholics is to be found in who we are in Christ. To offer our lives and to make available to him all he created us to be. To understand and embrace that our lives are not our own and to empty ourselves in love for his purpose in the world. This is our identity. This is what we as followers of Christ are built for.
As followers of Christ we're built for love.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them"
Ephesians 2:10
